Roy HsuAdvisory Board Member
Financial Advisor servicing individuals, families, small businesses, freelancers, creative, career changers and trusts.
Humanizing investing is my goal. While money cannot buy happiness, it is a source of pride, accomplishment and fuels our aspirations. We have an emotional relationship with money and logic can go out the door in times of stress or life changes. That is where a financial advisor can provide value. I was raised modestly and have worked since I was 16. I pursued my creative passions in art school and realized securing long-term finances was the means to continue it. This led to a 20-year career spanning dotcoms, advertising and creative pursuits that did not fit the typical 9-5 job; I had irregular income, and a need to create my own retirement plans, and understand tax strategies. I draw upon these experiences to help my clients. Just as no two pieces of art are the same, no two clients have the same financial goals. I want to understand what is important to you to help create a plan for financial security to live richly by spending time with family and friends, building your business or pursuing your passions. I use an established process to build customized strategies to help you achieve your goals, and I will partner with you to help keep you on track. Giving back is important to me. In my personal time, I am an Angel Investor, mentor to entrepreneurs, guest lecturer at various universities, speaker at groups like the Business Impact NW, Lean In, MIT Forum, and an advocate for diversity and inclusion. My focus areas: Entrepreneurs I bring my experience in business and as an Angel Investor. Let’s talk about your special needs. LGBT As someone from the community, there are special considerations. Let’s talk about them. Socially Conscious Investing Diversity, inclusion, and equity are important values to me. Let’s leave the world a better place. Creatives/Artists As an artist, funding my passions is a top goal. Let me help you. Career Changers The modern worker changes careers multiple times, for various reasons. Let's look at what this means for you. |
